The Qualified Addiction Specialist provides comprehensive substance use services including assessments, treatment, and support for recovery to dually diagnosed individuals. This position tracks program participation for dissemination to appropriate administrative and supervisory employees. Substance use services will be integrated and consistent with ongoing mental health and medical treatment, including the involvement of multi-disciplinary clinicians and sharing of information.
The Substance Abuse Counselor provides direct care services to patients with mental, emotional, and substance abuse issues, working closely with the treatment team to fulfill the interdisciplinary treatment process for patients with a dual diagnosis. This includes developing and conducting program activities for education and treatment related to substance abuse, as well as providing individual and group counseling sessions. The counselor is responsible for patient assessment and the development and implementation of Recovery Plans, within the company's standards.
The Psychiatrist provides a comprehensive range of psychiatric services to incarcerated patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders. Additionally, the Psychiatrist provides clinical consultation to mental health and health care staff on identified cases, ensuring high-quality mental health care for inmates. Overall, the position requires a strong commitment to providing compassionate care, sound clinical judgment, and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies.

The Support person plays a crucial role in providing frontline support to patients requiring heightened observation and engagement through therapeutic activities and recreation. Serving as an integral member of the treatment team, they ensure a therapeutic milieu and prioritize the safety of the living unit. Their responsibilities involve offering therapeutic-based activities and maintaining a secure environment for patients in need.
The Mental Health Clinician independently assesses individuals from a clinical and psychosocial perspective; provides group and individual therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation; makes professional judgments of clinical and psychosocial needs; and provides crisis assessment and intervention. This position is responsible for timely documentation of services that comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. The Mental Health Clinician is a member of the multidisciplinary team and may be responsible for treatment planning and discharge planning.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Under the supervision of the RN(s), directs and guides patient teaching and activities that commensurate with his/her education and demonstrated competencies.
