This treatment program is based in the Arapahoe County Detention Center and involves work with a forensic population. The jail-based Mental Health Clinician independently assesses individuals from a clinical and psychosocial perspective; provides group and individual therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation; makes professional judgments of clinical and psychosocial needs; and provides crisis assessment and intervention. This position is responsible for timely documentation of services that comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements. The Mental Health Clinician is a member of the multidisciplinary team and may be responsible for treatment planning and discharge planning.

The Psychologist provides individual and group psychotherapy, conducts psychological evaluations and psychological testing, develops and implements behavior management plans, provides employee education, and participates in treatment team meetings and quality assurance monitoring.
