How you make a difference

The Human Resources Manager is a key leader, driving all aspects of a comprehensive HR program while serving as a trusted advisor to HR generalists, management, and staff. This role is at the forefront of shaping workplace culture, leveraging independent judgment to craft impactful policies, procedures, and directives. With a strong focus on staff development, training, and innovative HR solutions, the HR Manager ensures the organization thrives through its people. Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Supervision and Management: Manage, direct, and supervise HR department staff and activities to align with the facility's mission and initiatives.

  • Compliance Oversight: Review HR practices and workforce activities to ensure compliance with federal, state, corporate, and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, including personnel records and background checks.

  • Employee Relations and Development: Oversee employee relations programs, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and supervisory training, while directing staff development and training activities like monthly orientations.

  • Recruitment and Staffing: Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruiting efforts and coordinate career fairs while managing staffing matrix/position control and opening requisitions in ATS as needed.

  • Employee Engagement and Safety: Visit employee work areas for informal discussions, promote HR assistance availability, and address employee safety issues, including Workers' Compensation claims.



Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

  • Required: Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources with demonstrated experience leading or supervising a small team.
  • Required: Experience working with an HR Information System (HRIS) and/or an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Preferred: Experience managing human resources within an in-patient mental health facility or hospital.
  • Preferred: Experience with healthcare regulatory agencies. Eg: The Joint Commission (TJC), Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), etc.
