How you make a difference

The Assistant Business Manager plays a vital role in keeping the financial engine of the facility running smoothly! Under minimal supervision, you’ll oversee the business office team and take charge of crucial accounting functions like cash control, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. You’ll dive into financial reports, analyzing trends, costs, and revenues to forecast future expenses and income. Additionally, you’ll step up to ensure that all business and financial operations continue to function seamlessly in the absence of the Business Manager. If you’re detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to make an impact, this is the role for you!



Key Responsibilities

  • Bank Reconciliation and Fund Management: Ensures accurate reconciliation of bank deposits, checks, balance controls, and bank statements. Manages facility funds, including petty cash, commissary, and patient welfare.

  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting: Participates in monthly and annual forecasts, including the budget, and prepares month-end financial reports, including forecasts and variance analysis.

  • Cross-Training and Relief: Cross-trains and provides relief for accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, and billing functions as necessary to ensure smooth operations.

  • Billing Oversight: Oversees the billing function, ensuring timely and accurate invoice submission in accordance with contract terms.

  • Asset Management and Compliance: Maintains facility fixed asset records, ensuring timely tagging and disposal, and ensures compliance with financial policies and procedures.



Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline.

Experience:

  • Required: Three (3) years’ experience in a financial or related role.
  • Required: Leadership or supervisory experience; working knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
  • Required: Experience with accounting software packages.
  • Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
