How you make a difference

Make a Difference Every Day as a Recovery Treatment Assistant (RTA)!

 

Are you ready to provide compassionate care and support to those in need? As a Recovery Treatment Assistant (RTA), you’ll deliver essential medical and mental health services to individuals served. Your role includes direct supervision of individuals served, assisting with daily activities, conducting routine safety inspections, ensuring accountability, and completing necessary documentation and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Therapeutic Care and Monitoring
    Provide therapeutic care by monitoring the conditions of individuals served, assisting with daily activities, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and completing required inspections or checks of assigned areas.

  • Observation and Reporting
    Oversee the whereabouts of individuals served, assist during mealtimes, observe behaviors, listen to concerns, and report any unusual behavior to behavioral health professionals.

  • Crisis Supervision and Documentation
    Conduct 1:1 supervision for individuals in crisis, ensuring required documentation is completed using the approved process.

  • Support for Licensed Staff
    Assist licensed staff in delivering direct services, including health data collection, education, unit monitoring, and participation in assigned groups or activities.

  • Confidentiality Compliance
    Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with organizational policies, state laws, and accrediting body standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Required: One (1) year in mental/behavioral health setting.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Preferred: Healthcare, mental health, or human services license or certification.
