How you make a difference

Lead with Purpose as a Health Services Administrator/RN!

 

Are you a dynamic nursing leader ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role? As the Health Services Administrator/RN, you will oversee and elevate all health service activities at the facility, ensuring they align with company policies, contractual obligations, and healthcare best practices. Your leadership will drive the implementation of essential healthcare services, manage budgets, and enhance the efficiency of the health service program.

 

Using the nursing process, you'll provide and evaluate comprehensive care for individuals classified as sexually violent predators, ensuring their health needs are met with professionalism and compassion. Acting as a key liaison, you'll bridge communication between facility employees, contracting agencies, and compliance organizations, playing a pivotal role in maintaining excellence in healthcare delivery.



Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision of Healthcare Operations
    Provide leadership and administrative oversight for medical, psychiatry, and nursing services while fostering effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Policy Compliance and Development
    Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards, utilizing sound judgment and annually reviewing and modifying departmental policies and procedures.

  • Staffing and Employee Management
    Oversee staffing to meet healthcare needs, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Accept 24/7 on-call status to resolve staffing shortages as needed.

  • Operational Oversight and Healthcare Delivery
    Monitor healthcare operations, ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and safety requirements, and take action on issues such as overtime, audits, and treatment interventions. Use data to evaluate and improve healthcare delivery systems.

  • Financial and External Relationship Management
    Submit operational reports, manage financial responsibilities, recommend cost-effective methods, and maintain relationships with external healthcare providers and hospitals.



Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Experience:

  • Required: Previous healthcare management or supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in healthcare planning, budgeting, and meeting contractual obligations.
  • Preferred: Experience as a nurse supervisor/manager or charge nurse in a secure residential facility with knowledge and experience in remote diagnosis and treatment by utilizing medical telecommunications technology.

Licenses:

  • Required: Must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment or possess a multi-state compact license recognized by the State of employment to practice professional nursing.
