The Quality Assurance Coordinator drives excellence by facilitating quality assurance activities that uphold contract requirements, accreditation standards, and compliance with HIPAA regulations, as well as state, federal, and local statutes. Collaborating closely with the Performance Improvement and Compliance Administrator, this role ensures facility licensing and regulatory requirements are met. The Coordinator also oversees the training and alignment of all departments with regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring programs, policies, and practices consistently deliver top-tier results.
Quality Assurance Coordination: Coordinates quality assurance activities across departments to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, HIPAA regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local statutes.
Regulatory Compliance and Follow-up: Supports preparation and submission of responses and corrective action plans, following up with regulatory bodies such as state licensing agencies, CMS, and site accreditation organizations.
Training on Data and Performance Improvement: Trains departments, committees, and leadership on data collection, analysis methods, and tools to measure processes, assess performance, and implement improvement plans.
Monitoring and Reporting Trends: Monitors Improvement Plan compliance and audit reports to identify significant trends, ensuring timely reporting to executive management in a dashboard/scorecard format.
Policy and Procedure Oversight: Oversees the Policy and Procedures Manual, ensuring ongoing reviews, training activities, and staff access to policy management systems.
