The Benefits Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that individuals served have seamless access to insurance benefits. You’ll handle everything from verifying insurance eligibility to managing enrollment processes. Your attention to detail and ability to navigate complex systems will make you the go-to person for all insurance-related inquiries, ensuring that each individual receives the benefits they deserve. If you're organized, communicative, and passionate about helping others, this role is perfect for you!
Eligibility and Record Review: Perform individual served record reviews to determine eligibility for various programs and services.
Enrollment Assistance: Assist facility and site staff, as well as individuals served, with enrollment applications, and submit applications when applicable.
Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment: Complete Medicare/Medicaid enrollment activities within state-specified time limits and ensure timely submission. Submitting and managing requests for payment.
Insurance Identification and Documentation: Notify providers of the individual served's insurance identification number for billing purposes and maintain progress and status control files for enrollment applications.
Financial and Benefits Documentation: Prepare new admissions financial folders, compile eligibility documentation, and review medical and psychosocial records to facilitate program processing and support benefits applications.
