Are you a strategic leader with a passion for business development, government partnerships, and healthcare policy? If so, we invite you to join our leadership team as Vice President, Partnership Development.

 

The Opportunity

As VP of Partnership Development, you will play a key role in expanding our behavioral healthcare services by identifying, developing, and securing high-value partnerships with state level executive branch and legislative branch leaders. Your expertise in legislative processes and health policy will position our organization as a trusted provider and policy influencer.



Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Success Metrics

Business Development & Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute a government-focused growth strategy that expands our footprint.

Legislative & Policy Influence

  • Engage with policymakers, legislators, and government agencies to advocate for behavioral healthcare initiatives.
  • Monitor policy changes and funding opportunities, ensuring the organization is positioned to capitalize on emerging trends.
  • Monitor legislative hearings, policy forums, and industry events to drive visibility and influence.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Cultivate high-level relationships with government officials, legislators, and key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of new contracts and partnerships.

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth research on funding streams, policy changes, and competitor positioning.
  • Develop data-driven business cases that align with government priorities and our growth objectives.



Qualifications & Requirements

Who You Are

  • Current or former leadership staffer in the executive branch or legislative branch, with a focus on health policy.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about legislative processes, state level budgeting, and public health funding mechanisms.
  • An excellent negotiator and relationship-builder who can engage key government stakeholders.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Political Science, Business Administration or related field. A combination of education and ten (10) plus years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

  • Required: Seven (7) years of professional experience.
  • Required: Industry experience and Partnership Development experience.
  • Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to make verbal presentations in front of diverse audiences.
  • Required: Superior skills in negotiating to achieve consensus and favorable business objectives.
  • Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred: Federal or State Government Executive or Legislative Branch experience, or experience in working with behavioral health systems.
