The Activity Specialist brings joy and enrichment to the lives of individuals served by creating and leading engaging activities in a safe, supportive environment. By thoughtfully planning and implementing programs that focus on physical, mental, and emotional well-being, the Activity Specialist plays a key role in enhancing the overall quality of life.

• Improving Health and Well-Being: Provides resources and opportunities to improve the health and well-being of individuals served.

• Facilitates Activities: Leads activities in both group and individual settings to engage participants.

• Plans and Organizes Events: Plans and organizes activities and special events, ensuring they are suitable for the occasion and the population.

• Documentation: Completes documentation in the medical record within the specified time frame, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Collaboration with Departments: Works closely with all departments and programs to meet the needs of individuals served.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Experience:

• Preferred: Experience in a mental health setting.
