The Food Service Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring that both the Nutrition and Cafeteria areas run smoothly and efficiently, delivering nutritious meals to all individuals served. In partnership with the Food Service Manager, you'll ensure that food safety standards are met, work areas are pristine, and local health department guidelines are followed. Your attention to detail helps create a clean, safe environment where individuals can enjoy their meals and thrive, making a real difference in their daily well-being!
Operational Systems Support: Assist in implementing operational systems, processes, and policies to align with the hospital's mission, business needs, and licensing requirements.
Strategic Food Service Planning: Contribute to the planning and development of the food service department to ensure it supports hospital operations effectively.
Staff Training and Orientation: Oversee the training and orientation of food service staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and established expectations.
Safety Training Completion: Ensure all food service staff complete required safety training upon hire to maintain a safe work environment.
Facility Cleanliness and Quality Maintenance: Ensure the quality of food service operations and maintain cleanliness within the facility while supporting the daily food service functions.
