• Policy Development and Implementation
  Assists in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and regulations for the custody, security, and treatment of individuals served.

• Shift Briefings and Staff Coordination
  Conducts shift briefings, communicates updates on individuals served, and manages employee attendance, appearance, and post assignments.

• Employee Supervision and Development
  Directs employee work, including hiring, evaluating performance, training, development, and managing disciplinary actions, including terminations.

• Crisis Management and Diffusion
  Responds to unusual occurrences, provides appropriate assistance in case of injury, illness, or emotional trauma, and diffuses critical situations involving individuals served.

• Search and Movement Oversight
  Monitors search procedures, individuals served movement, resolves complaints, and takes immediate corrective action for security employees when necessary.

Education:

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.                     

Experience:

• Required: Three (3) years of experience working in a healthcare or mental health treatment facility.
• Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred: One (1) year of supervisory experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Required: Must be a Certified Correctional Officer as established and required by the applicable State Commission, if required by state.
• Required: Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
