How you make a difference

The Human Resources Specialist plays a key role in supporting HR with a focus on employment, employee relations, personnel records, benefits administration, and regulatory reporting requirements. Working under limited supervision, this para-professional is essential in ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance. With the opportunity to contribute to various HR areas, the HR Specialist is a trusted partner in fostering a positive workplace and delivering exceptional support to both employees and leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with HR Team: Assist and collaborate with the Site HR Team to support various HR functions and ensure smooth operations.

  • New Employee Orientation: Coordinate logistics for new employee orientation, including scheduling, preparing materials, and ensuring completion of required tasks.

  • Employee Support: Address and support employees with HR-related issues such as compensation, benefits, PTO, misconduct, and problem resolution.

  • Record Keeping and Compliance: Maintain HR records and employee files in accordance with compliance regulations and company policies.

  • Confidentiality and Pre-boarding: Work closely with site payroll and other departments while handling confidential information, and review pre-boarding documentation for new hires, including background checks.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience: 

  • Required: Two (2) years of related work experience in human resources.
  • Required: Working knowledge and familiarity with human resources concepts, practices, procedures, and basic employment laws.
  • Required: Experience working with an HR Information System (HRIS) and/or an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
