Compensation Range

$126,372.69 - $154,455.39 / year

How you make a difference

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) is a registered professional nurse with extensive executive management experience in the practice, regulation, and clinical standards of nursing. They provide strategic direction, ensure quality, accountability, and fiscal responsibility for nursing across the company. As the ultimate authority for nursing practice within the Nursing Service Program, the CNO is responsible and accountable for maintaining high standards of patient care and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. 



Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements nursing practice policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements and standards of nursing practice at the national, state, and local level. 
  • Ensures patient care is provided at the appropriate level of care and in compliance with current standards of nursing practice. 
  • Leads and participates in evaluations to improve work conditions and patient care, including CQI initiatives and infection control efforts. 
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with corporate clinical medical services, and serves as nursing authority and liaison to other corporate departments and outside entities. 
  • Establishes and coordinates nursing credentialing, orientation, training, and education programs, and develops strategies for recruitment and retention of nursing staff. 



Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate degree (Master's) in Nursing; must graduate from an accredited school in nursing.

Experience

  • 5 years of progressive executive nursing management experience in clinical settings (i.e. Emergency Room, Communicable Disease, with Medical and Surgical experience preferred).

Licenses/Certifications

  • Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida.
