Compensation Range

$101,256.48 - $112,507.2 / year

How you make a difference

The Post-Doctoral Psychology Resident provides restoration, behavior planning, psychological testing, and psychotherapy sessions for both civil and forensic units. They work as an active member of the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients. This position is responsible for ensuring that patient care is delivered according to established clinical standards and procedures.



Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts individual and group psychological sessions and serves as a consultant to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Documents services provided in compliance with professional standards and hospital procedures.
  • Complies with safety procedures, assists with finding alternatives to seclusions and restraints, and reports any incidents of abuse.
  • Demonstrates cultural competency, sensitivity to diversity, and treats patients as individuals.
  • Provides ongoing support and ensures adherence to organization’s Code of Conduct.



Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • APA approved doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.).
  • Ability to provide transcripts and a copy of their doctoral degree by the start date of the residency.
  • Completion of an APA-approved or APPIC internship prior to beginning the postdoctoral residency.

Experience

  • Experience with SPMI population is preferred.
