How you make a difference

In this role, as a Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough psychological evaluations and testing to assess and address individuals' mental health needs. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in staff education, providing necessary insights on psychological issues to enhance overall understanding and support within the team. Your responsibilities will extend to the development, monitoring, and implementation of behavioral management plans, along with assigned duties for quality assurance monitoring, ensuring a comprehensive and effective approach to mental health care.



Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts forensic assessments and capacity to proceed evaluations in accordance with the State Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and jail policies. Provides written report to Court and involved legal counsel or as ordered by the Court. Serves as a consultant to the multidisciplinary team. Review of assessments, case presentations, and quantitative chart reviews.
  • Provides training and education to the rest of the clinical team on topics such as capacity restoration and other relevant forensic topics, as needed, provides expert testimony to the court, and serves on committees. Demonstrates knowledge of ethical and related clinical principles.
  • Develops all new behavior management plans and oversees the collection of data on the target behaviors for the Behavior Plans with the approval of the treatment team members.
  • Performs timely, complete, and legible documentation of services provided, consistent with professional standards and facility procedures.



Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an Accredited University.

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in clinical psychology desired.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Current license as a Psychologist in the state of practice.
